AppalFest - Join APPS for their annual AppalFest! With a ferris wheel, pumpkin patch, make-your-own license plates, photo booth, and a wide variety of food trucks, this is one event you won't want to miss! The festivities kick off at 4:00 pm and will carry on till 8:00 pm on Sanford Mall. This event is kid-friendly and open to all students and their families!

Hawksbill Gameroom is open in the Student Union: The Game Room has 8 billiard tables, 4 dart boards, 2 foosball tables, and free board games and playing cards to use, and soft drinks for sale.

Friday   Legacy Event

5:30 - 7:00 pm

Appalachian Alumni Legacy Reception | Location: Solarium, Plemmons Student Union
This special evening reception, co-sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor, and the Office of Alumni Affairs, honors Legacy Families: alumni parents as well as their children who are currently attending Appalachian as undergraduate students. Register online through the Alumni Association today!

Hiking with Outdoor Programs - Join Outdoor Programs as we explore Grandfather Mountain. We will start at the Daniel Boone Scout Trail and hike up to the beautiful Flat Rock view which has an expansive view of the Boone Bowl. From there, we have the option to continue up to Calloway Peak, the highest point on Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The fall colors will be spectacular at this time of year on Grandfather Mountain! $35 for ASU Students, $40 for all other guests *Specialized equipment, permits, transportation, instruction, and food are all included in price.

(Hike requires separate pre-registration) To register please go to Outdoor Programs located in the Student Recreation Center and register in person. Outdoor Programs accepts AppExpress, cash or check.
